NEW DRUM STORY

 

New Drum is a young self-financed Italian start-up that bases its growth on the support of his drummers friends, who share and believe in our project and philosophy.

 

Sharing, support, trust and comparison with them are the key elements that allowed us to become part of the prestigious world of Italian craftsmanship.

Our goal is to bring about a change, not only with the creation of innovative craft tools, but also through a new model, based on the comparison and dialogue with avant-garde drummers who, like us, want to express their originality through new sounds.

 

 The final goal is to break down the distance and coldness typical of the biggest companies to which we are accustomed.

The closeness and connection with them is basic, in this way we can improve day by day, bringing more and more quality in our tools.

Before being makers of instruments and accessories for drummers, we are musicians and what moves our actions are the desire to distinguish ourselves and to aim at the uniqueness: through new techniques, different materials and always adding a nice touch of color.

We often make unique pieces with a different sound, all our creations are made entirely by hand in Italy with much care, attention to detail and an immense passion for the work we do.

Probably someone reading our story asked - "okay but...how did it all start?"

The passion for the drums and the construction was born when I was a child and, like most of us, I also built my first drums with what I found in the house.

 

For many years I played as self-taught with my friends and some bands.  During my studies, my passion for drums grew more and more in me but unfortunately I did not have a teacher who could give me the right lessons, so I thought to join the community of Italian drummers to receive support and advice.

From this experience I learned a lot, I had the opportunity to improve as a drummer and to understand what were my needs and those of other drummers.

The knowledge acquired during this period led me to develop a project focused on the needs of young drummers look for new sounds and new ways to express their originality.

 

My passion for woodworking led me to make the first drums accessories: I learned a lot working with my uncle in the manufacture of ancient musical instruments and I did mainly manual work, also accumulating some tools in the garage.

 

Finally, my university career in economy, helped me to have an open vision and finally to realize the "New Drum" project, also thanks to the person I had at my side, who believed and embraced the project from the beginning

New Drum was born at the end of 2020, a year of change and novelty.

The biggest news was that we found a place that allowed us to improve our company, speed up production processes and manage wider production cycles.

We carefully test our products and, from the beginning, we're supported by great artists, collaborators and professional drummers, who test the products and verify their performance before they're available for all drummers.

 

Their support is basic to better understand the strengths and weaknesses and to find efficient solutions.

Thanks to the opinions we have received, constructive criticism and your support, we were able together to grow our little reality.

These are the reasons that push us to build a real emotional connection with our drummer friends: the gratitude for their warmth and the awareness that each of them is unique, has its own story and needs and different desires.
